Describe something about an animal or / and plant that seems ultra-wierd.
For example, female and male KROYER'S DEEP-SEA ANGLERFISH have extremely strange relationships.
The female is about a metre long, but the male is tiny. When an adult male finds a female he bites into her flesh, and then lives inside her. The two animals bloodstreams merge so that the nutrients in the female's blood flow into the males. The BEARDED ANGLERFISH is similar.
How can EVOLUTION explain this? What environmental conditions would have favoured the above lifestyle in contrast to those more commonly found in the sea?
And if some GOD created nature, why would this God make a animal with such a decadent lifestyle ? - surely sinful from any mainstream religion's perspective
Plausible explanations of how the above lifestyle evolved are welcome.

kroyer's deep-sea anglerfish
mmmmm.... a very interesting point....
well, on wikipedia it says that" When he is mature, the male's digestive system degenerates, making him incapable of feeding independently, which necessitates his quickly finding a female anglerfish or else dying." which simply means that he can not live without a female anglerfish. Maybe, just maybe this is to show mankind(especially males in this case) that they shouldn't neglact women. to show that women are useful, they deserve equal rights, respect and treatment.
hehe
Utral weird....
P.s i think worms are super weird because they are uni-sexed.....
different sexes
Different sexes allow for greater variability in the genetic material that a new
organism could obtain [esp. if male and female are unrelated] and therefore
allowed for greater adaptability [to the environment / ro changes in it].
so the questions raised by the worms
Did uni-sexed animals exist before differently sexed animals ?
[If worms evolved from differently sexed animals, why was it more advantageous to have all members of the species uni-sexed than half male
& half female ?
Do you need more than one worm for mating ? etc.
I'm very tempted to do some research here but I am meant to be planning for a term of cubs and school right now ! If you find out anything I'd love to know.
worms early in evolution
segmented worms [annelids] arose early in evolution in the Cambrian Period
[ie., 550 million years ago - embryoes existed from about 600 million years
- can't yet find out about evolution of bi-sexes but would assume that prob.
happened a little later
equality of the sexes
I doubt the behaviour of Kropker's deep-sea angelfish teaches us how to behave - but to me both sexes are obviously equal [esp. as I had a woman
